In 2006, we implemented a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 in our company, which we continue to improve to this day. In recent years, the rail market has been developing rapidly and, in keeping with the changing realities, together with the consultancy QMS Kamil Niedek we have begun preparations for the implementation of a new standard for the rail industry.
In March 2006, UNIFE published the first revision of the IRIS standard (IRIS rev. 00) based on the ISO 9001 standard and extending it to include requirements specific to the rail industry. The standard was dedicated to companies involved in design, production and maintenance in the field of rail vehicles and infrastructure. Since 2006, the standard has undergone continuous improvement by constantly raising the demands placed on organisations. In 2014, the President, together with the UNIFE Bureau, approved the conversion of the IRIS standard into the ISO/TS 22163 standard, issued in May 2017. Eleven years after its publication, the standard has become an official industry standard.

“In 2014, the President, together with the UNIFE Bureau, approved the conversion of the IRIS standard into the ISO/TS 22163 standard, issued in May 2017. 11 years after its publication, the standard has become an official industry standard.”

– The high quality of our products is a priority for us.
ISO/TS 22163:2017 comprises 3 components:
  • Official ISO standard published at www.iso.org
  • IRIS Audittool software – software specifically developed for auditing the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO/TS by UNIFE. The software is mainly used by accredited certification bodies, but it is also available to companies that have or implement ISO/TS
  • Assessment of compliance with the IRIS certification scheme, issue 2 of May 2020 – document prepared by UNIFE (available on website www.iris-rail.org)

“I hereby certify that MASCORT Uszczelnienia has commenced implementation of a Business Management System in accordance with the requirements of ISO/TS 22163:2017 (IRIS).” – QMS Kamil Niedek 27.08.2022.

The initial audit report showed compliance of the current Quality Management System with the requirements of ISO/TS 22163:2017 in a number of areas. We are working on extending the current system to include the aspects identified in the report.
